TV filming with Alex Polizzi!

by Claire Martinsen on Tue 20th Dec 2011 15:06

We had a call from Lesley at Denver Windmill a few weeks back asking if we would take part in a Food and Craft event that she was organising on Tuesday 13th December.  It was part of the re-invention of Denver that she and her family had been planning and executing under the guidance of Alex Polizzi [of Hotel Inspector fame] as part of a BBC programme.

Tuesday was FREEZING [think cold and then take a few degrees off it!] but the atmosphere at Denver was very warm indeed.  Chloe and I were there with the Breckland Orchard drinks, and we were kept company in the outside marquee by our very good friends Andrew from English Whisky, Sarah from Brays Cottage and Glenn from Yare Valley Rapeseed Oil.  We laughed very loud and very often!  Neil and Jonathan from Catesby’s  in Wells-next-the-Sea dropped by to see us and the laughter just got louder [they are enormous fun].  All in all a nice night with friends and pals!

The production team were great, Alex Polizzi is an absolute darling  [she could not have been more charming or generous with her time and passion] and we can’t wait to see the results on the small screen in 2012.  Watch this space!

UPDATE…January 28th

The series is called ‘The Fixer’ and runs for 6 weeks as from 31st January.  BBC2, Tuesday nights at 9pm!
