Breckland Orchard and BBC2's The Fixer

by Claire Martinsen on Wed 07th Mar 2012 18:03

Did you spot Chloe and myself on BBC’s The Fixer with Alex Polizzi?

The programme was about Denver Mill just outside Downham Market.  The Mill is run by Mark and Lindsay Abel, helped by daughter Sally and her fiancee Duncan.  Alex helped them to decide on the focus and priorities for Denver for the future.

Breckland Orchard was part of the Farmers Market that was held to launch the new look Denver.  The filming took place just before Christmas on a very [and I really do mean very] cold night.

The actual market was a complete laugh – we were there surrounded by friends –  Brays Cottage, Yare Valley Oils, Philli Chillis and English Whiskey.  And then the Catesby’s crew turned up – quite by chance, having had a drive along the coast! Alex Polizzi herself could not have been more charming – she was completely un-starry, very down to earth, chatty, friendly and delightful.

To the new look Denver Windmill – the best of luck – you guys deserve it.

Thank you for everyone’s Tweets, texts, messages after having seen the programme.  That’s the five minutes of fame over…I’ll go back to making drinks!  Cheers x

If you want to catch the programme it’s still on i-Player for a few days….catch it soon.
