The start of the craziest week ever!...........
We are exhibiting at Caffe Culture in Olympia this week – Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th. Today I am getting everything ready for that……..making sure all the passes are printed, press packs, leaflets, distributor information, samples, stand etc etc! Getting to Olympia and realising you have forgotten something essential [eg the Velcro] is just not the best way to start!
I am travelling down to London tomorrow to get everthing set up. Our stand configuration has changed slightly, so I am hoping that everything fits. Setting up is always an interesting experience – rushing like crazy to get everything into the Hall and set up! Whilst I am setting up Chloe is going to be at HQ getting orders ready.
Wednesday and Thursday is show-time! The show times are 9.30 to 18.00 on the Wednesday and 9.30 to 17.00 on the Thursday. We love Caffe Culture….masses of coffee swishing about [from true experts] so that should keep up buzzy all day long! Its the third year we’ve exhibited and we’re excited to be back another year!
Friday is another whirlwind day getting everything sorted for the weekend………..and always one to make things even more complicated I’ve offered to go into my son’s school to talk about Norwegian National Day on Friday afternoon [it actually takes place on 17th May, but I am sure the Year 1’s won’t mind a day late].
We’ve gone plural before at consumer shows, but we’ve never gone Triple before………this weekend we are marking a first at Breckland Orchard by attending three consumer shows all at once. It’s a kind of master mix up of all of us…..with Mr Breckland home alone with the Mini-Martinsens. Careful planning required….and here is where we’ll all be:
Hadleigh Show – Chloe will be showcasing Breckland Orchard at this gorgeous show. The view from the Food Tent over the horse events outside make it special.
Letchworth Food Festival – moi will be at Letchworth. It ran two years ago on a wonderfully hot weekend, and was just amazing fun. Letchworth is the original garden city, and the whole intrastructure of the town is unique and lovely. We are hoping the folk of Letchworth come and support us!
Greene King Food Festival – right in the middle of Bury St Edmunds. Ma Breckland [aka my mum] and her friend Netty will be at Greene King. Mum loves this festival, so she’s kind of nabbed it and taken it as her own. It’s a wonderful setting and the array of local foods and drink [think Beer………lots of] is second to none.
And come Sunday we will be beat………..so wish us luck and if you are anywhere near any of the shows DO please come and say hello………..we would love to see you.
