Proof that nice things happen to nice people!

telegraphIt made my day to hear that two of my customers had triumphed in the 2009 Telegraph Shop Awards.  Origin8 from Cambridge won the best local Food and drink shop, and Big Blue Sky from Wells-next-the-Sea won the best local Home and Entertainment shop. Queen of Shops – Mary Portas – was part of the judging panel, so they were certainly under lots of scrutiny! There were only 10 prizes on offer, recognising the best and the most dynamic of retailers.  Big Blue Sky and Origin8 certainly were in good company, with the other winners being ‘giants’ of retailing such as John Lewis, Amazon, Waitrose, Boots and Marks and Spencer.

origin8Origin8 were early supporters of Breckland Orchard, and being a deli-cafe dedicated to sourcing products only from the local region we are right up their street. Jane, Julia and Stephen who run Origin8 are passionate foodies and have expanded and grown the business, notching up a few awards along the way.  This latest one is fully deserved!

big blue skyBig Blue Sky is based in a beautiful location on the Norfolk coast and sells just the most wonderful things – all from Norfolk.  Its a really inspirational store full of amazing products – and best of all they cater for all sizes of purse, so you can buy something really special and artisan without breaking the bank

Well done guys on your Telegraph Awards – it really is proof that nice things happen to nice people!
