British Cassis Abergavenny Food FestivalFood Festivals from a visitor perspective [of course] but the producers love them too…..and its especially fun when you have great neighbours. This year at Abergavenny we were next to British Cassis who are located in Herefordshire.

British CassisBriony and Steve were on  the stand from British Cassis….Steve being a mixologist was mixing up some seriously wonderful cocktails using the British Cassis range of products – including Poire and Framboise.

Saturday was a long day – we were all on site in the Lower Brewery Yard from about 7.30am to 10.30pm………..yet 15 hours standing on our feet passed in a flash and the combination of Briony/Steve/Ma Breckland and myself laughed and had fun the whole day whilst also working extremely hard!

british cassis, breckland orchardI bought a jar of their seriously delicious blackcurrants steeped in cassis back with me, which I have been using in my baking etc to delight friends. And every time I open the jar I think of the great guys behind British Cassis.  Good friends, and a great time.

Thanks Steve and Briony for being such great great neighbours.
