Mill Road CollageThis weekend we’ve gone ‘plural’ – Dara is at the Deepdale Christmas Market and I was at Mill Road Winter Fair, which is just up the road in Cambridge.  I love Christmas….[the tree was bought on 29th November and was up and decorated by the 1st!] and I love the atmosphere of Christmas events.

Mill Road Winter Fair 2014It was the first time that I’d been at Mill Road, but had visited before and really wanted to do a local event……my friend Elaine came and helped on the day and we had such a good time!  We had packs of Posh Squash, Posh Pop [of course] and our limited edition Seasonal Punch for Winter 2014 [which was very very popular on the day!]

Mill Road Winter Fair 2014 2We were in the Gwydir Street Car Park, where the foodie area was. Yes, it was absolutely freezing, but that in no way stopped the Christmas spirit from over-flowing and we had a great time.

Winter PunchMade even more brilliant having live bands play just to the right of our stand all day long – so the two of us were kind of bopping and dancing all day! One of the artists was David Youngs [who’s daughter is in the same class as little Miss Breckland]  – he was truly amazing, and so different to see him in a different light than at the school gates.

Mill Road Winter Fair 2014 1Gwydir Street had such a good atmosphere and some wonderful stands, so visitors were in for such a treat!

Duke of Pork bunMy [early] lunch was a Bacon/Cheese Hot Dog from the Duke of Pork…we’d been next to them at the Essex Food Festival earlier in the year, and I hadn’t managed to buy one before they sold out so I got one early!

Mill Road Winter Fair 2It was fabulous to showcase my drinks in Cambridge…..and a big thank you to the AMAZING volunteer stewards in Gwydir Street, who managed to navigate everyone in and everyone out of a very tiny space with humour and grace.  Thank you x

Volunteers Mill Road Winter Fair 2014See you next year!
