Star Struck at Country Living Show
As I shared in a previous blog post I was recently invited to be a speaker at the 2015 Country Living Show in Islington. The line up in the Business Zone was a who’s who of fabulous females so I was more than a little honoured to be asked to contribute.
It was as fabulous a day as I had anticipated. …..the Design Centre looked amazing…. the countryside had definitely invaded the city, so it was a sea of bunting, flowers, gardens and general loveli-ness. I exhibit at the Lunch Trade Show every year, and it was amazing to see how a different show can make the Design centre look so different! Out were food and drink, and crafts/handmade items were in!
Another friend of years standing – Penny Lindop had a stand there……and luckily acted as a place to charge my phone [!] as well as have a good catch up.
I loved-loved-loved the speakers……….I managed to listen to most of them through the day and came away inspired and having learned some great tips for running Breckland Orchard. I know chatting to some of the folk nearby that they too found it invaluable.
One observation would be that everyone was very open indeed………the audience was 95% female, as were the speakers. There was an honesty that was really different to most business events that I’ve attended…….and that was really inspiring.
