Cambridge Food and Drink Awards 2015
Spent a splendid afternoon yesterday at the Cambridge Food and Drink Awards at Quy Mill. Afternoon tea was served whilst some jittery finalists got excited to hear the results.
It was a strange feeling to go incognito to 3 fabulous outlets to judge them against the criteria given. Burwash Larder was the worthy winner, for the sheer energy and passion they show for local producers. It was an absolute honour to be asked to judge……
The awards ceremony was lovely…..lots of worthy winners – including Sedgwick’s Charcuterie who were the Food Producer of the Year 2015. Andrew and Annabel started the business just over a year ago, and have a whirlwind year under their belts…they were just over the moon to have won!
It was a lovely chilled out afternoon with lots of foodie friends – including Vhari Russell [aka the Food Marketing Expert], Andre from Manfood, Kelly from Rubber Cheese, Alice and Louise from Cambridge Magazine etc etc
